Open House: Prebooking Now Open, Includes Exotic Addition

Just a gentle reminder that you can now pre-book for some of the more exclusive properties taking part in Open House 2009. The annual event takes place on 19/20 September and will see some of London's most interesting building offering free tours. For most, you can simply turn up on the day (although queues are a certainty at the more famous venues such as Lloyds). Others require you to get your name down on a list. Some, including Centrepoint, Tower 42 and Trellick Tower are already fully booked.

The web site's a little cumbersome to use, so you might want to track down a free brochure from your local library. Indeed, we discovered this little anomaly on their Google Map. Looks like you'll have to book a flight to a small island off the coast of Nigeria if you want to clap eyes on the Government Art Collection.
