What Do You Do When A Plinther No-Shows?
We've been enthusing about this talented Southbank Centre collective, picking them off one by one to profile and promote their talents via individual interviews but these guys will really be snap, crackle and popping in 09, completely taking over the Royal Festival Hall on 27 February for a climactic gig, one year on. Check out the video below for a flavour of the excitement and a brilliant sample of flute beatboxing.
Takeover tickets are just £6 so get them now but there's also an opportunity to see a free show by this fresh bunch on 26 January with some fruitful and no doubt unexpected collaborations across the crew to warm up to the main mad event in February. Folks, look out, these artists are about to emerge.

Hi Lindsey, where can I catch the free show on 26th? I can't see anything on the Southbank Centre website and can't make the end of Feb date!

Oh sorry Claire - seems I got the wrong end of the stick. Ayanna is doing a free gig in the Front Room of the Queen Elizabeth Hall at 9pm on 27 Jan. Other than that, it's Takeover on 27 February.
