What Do You Do When A Plinther No-Shows?

Today, as part of Guinness World Records Day 2008, the ethical underwear company Pants to Poverty successfully set a momentous record for the largest gathering of people in their pants. At 10 am, 116 pairs of undies flooded the concourse of St. Pancras International.
The connection with eradicating global poverty was tenuous, to be sure, but the company in question does produce pants that are certified fair trade. These smalls were offered to all participants, along with a shot of breakfast whisky. The cleveress of the spectacle soon became apparent: word had spread widely in the modelling community, and fit young aspirants showed up in droves hoping to be noticed. While there were nearly as many media on hand to notice them, Londonist went beyond the call, and we can claim the only trouserless correspondent on the scene.

I guess you'll have to check the papers for that. I couldn't very well photograph myself.
Nice one, hope the aim was more than a world record, good that it was.
Maybe a sponsored event for next year (when the weather is a bit warmer). A charity event maybe??
I know it's for a good cause, but frankly some folks should stayed as clothed as possible.
