Chocolate and wine in a Hawksmoor church—a chocoholy trinity, if you will—await anyone venturing to St George’s Bloomsbury tonight, from 7pm. Master chocolatiers Frank Macey and Bill McCarrick will discuss Sir Hans Sloane, a founding father of both the British Museum and the Natural History Museum. Why are two confectioners holding a lecture on the great uber-curator? Because Soane is also credited with inventing milk chocolate. The talk will also focus on his local connections and awesome collections, which spawned two of London’s great museums. Entrance is £7 but includes a glass of wine and some chocolate.
