Pieceofplenty is a friendly little two-person operation hand-making fresh breakfast cereals out of a Crouch End kitchen. Having started selling at farmers markets (with their 12,000th bag recently being sold), pieceofplenty has been around for about four years. Their granolas and muesli are now available at a number of London locations (see below).
Londonist recently sat down for a cup of coffee with pieceofplenty founder, Sally Smallwood, for a chat about her oaten delights. In addition to Sally kindly leaving a few sample bags for us (which we happily devoured soon after), Sally explained that her products contain no wheat, salt or dairy and that they’re made in small batches on a weekly basis to ensure freshness “for best taste and nutrition.” Pieceofplenty makes light on the sugar too. While their ridiculously delicious date and ginger granola actually has some refined sugar in the ginger, their raisin and almond granola is refined sugar free; and their fruit muesli has no added sugar at all. We appreciate pieceofplenty allowing the flavours of their granola and muesli to stand on their own and not simply rely on any sugary shortcuts.
