While the crucible of world power may be tilting ever eastwards, as our debt-happy economies come crashing down around us, for now at least the West can still celebrate its pedagogical prowess. In a list of the world's top higher education institutions, the USA and Britain dominate. The top ten comprises six from the former and four from the latter, including two representatives from London, specifically, Imperial College London and University College London.
