We've been getting out and about a lot this week, catching The Police on Sunday night in Hyde Park, School of Language, Idlewild and Paul Weller and Glasvegas. To top it off, we also previewed 108 Pieces Demolition at the Laban Centre, revealed that Amy Winehouse will be turned into a waxwork and got excited about the Olympic Party in August.

Monday night sees US pop punkers Bowling for Soup play the Electric Ballroom - tickets are £18.50 each. If you want something a touch quieter, then amazing US singer/songwriter Joe Purdy plays the Borderline - tickets are £10 each. Alternatively, if you want something free then Black Kids play HMV Oxford Street at 6pm, before hurtling up to Koko to support Foals at the iTunes live festival, which will have a few free tickets on the door at 7:30.

The highlight of Tuesday night is US rising stars Band of Horses who play the first of two nights at Shepherds Bush Empire. Tickets are £14 each. Alicia Keys plays a huge show at the O2 - tickets are between £27.50 and £35 each. Panic at the Disco play a sold out show at the Astoria, whilst Lightspeed Champion and Pete and The Pirates play Koko as part of the iTunes Festival. There will be some free tickets on the door once again.

You Me At Six bring their emo pop-punk game to Kings College on Wednesday and Thursday evenings - tickets are going quickly at £10 a pop each here. Alternatively, nip to Koko for the iTunes festival where the Ting Tings are playing.

Thursday sees the mighty McFly play Shepherds Bush Empire - tickets are £14.50 but are going quickly as you might expect! The Fratellis play a sold out Somerset House show, and Jamie Lidell plays the iTunes live series at Koko (free tickets as normal)

To round out the week, Random Hand bring their dancey ska-punk-rap-metal mashup to the Underworld on Friday night - tickets are £6.50 each. New ravers These New Puritans play the ICA - tickets are £10 each. Alternatively The Script play the iTunes festival, again free tickets will be available on the door.

We always recommend ethical gig trading site Scarlet Mist as your first port of call for tickets particularly when they're sold out, so check them out and beat the touts. Failing that Gumtree is always a friend.
