As part of his ongoing first solo UK exhibition at the ICA, this Saturday sees French artist Loris Gréaud present an interpretation of his Cellar Door libretto with CocoRosie's Sierra Casady and pianist/violinist/cellist Gael Rakotondrabe. Whilst for the ICA this is another instalment in Stage of the Art, their cross-Channel cultural exchange series with Palais de Tokyo, for Gréaud this performance will be another step in his larger Cellar Door experiment. Having recently exhibited at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, he is currently constructing a studio space on the city's outskirts that, upon completion, will be part of Cellar Door as well. Gréaud will finish 2008 with a Cellar Door opera to be staged at the Paris Opera.

With her sister Bianca, Sierra Casady has recorded three genre-hopping albums of twisted, folk-influenced electronic music as CocoRosie, and we hope the recent single, God Has a Voice, She Speaks Through Me, can be taken as a sign that a fourth is on the way soon. Any opportunity to see a Casady should be seized, so as much as we'd love to hear a CocoRosie set this weekend, we are eager to see what will no doubt be a compelling collaboration with Gréaud.
