Following on from our weekend report on the anti-George Bush protests in Parliament Square on Sunday a whole crop of photos have been posted in the Londonist Flickr pool capturing the passion behind the protest and the frankly alarming flashpoint as police barricaded Whitehall.

25 arrests were reported as allegations of heavy handed policing were thrown around.

Friction TV were also there, to get the insider's view. Although, the footage stops short of engaging with the police and their batons.

If you were there, please comment and tell us what the demonstration and stand off with the police was like.

Many thanks to our eye witnesses Friction TV, randydandy, Simon Rigglesworth and Daniel_C_C.

Thanks, Londonist

We should probably leave George alone at this point. He's a shell of the man he used to be, you can see it in those grubby little peepers. He knows his administration is busted, his legacy written, his time in office forever to be compared with such chancers as Nixon and Buchanan.

But he doesn't really deserve all this vitriol, does he? The man knows he's a fuckup. He'd always been a fuckup - failed in the oil biz, failed at owning a baseball team, failed at sobriety. Hell, he woulda failed at a presidential bid to had the Supreme Court decided to actually uphold the Constitution in 2000. Instead, he got to work failing at being an a good president.

We should really have just organised a big singalong as George and Laura drove along the Mall.... "na na, na na na na, way heeeeeeeey, GOODBYE".

As for Brian Haw.... zzzzzzz. Is he really still kicking around? . Give it up, son.
