Spring Loaded is The Place's annual festival of fresh contemporary dance. We enthused about the opening show, Probe's Magpie, and we weren't disappointed (it was ace - so different and diverse and frankly, smoking hot and funny). Now the season is coming to a close and we're inclined to highlight a couple of gems that are ideal for popping along to on these gorgeously, light and warm evenings.

Tonight and tomorrow, Ben Wright's new company bgroup will be presenting a triple bill. "Thought latching onto thought and pulling" is an interesting and quite beautiful male quartet set to a score by London Flutes which alternates between lyric harmony and frantic, panpipe-esque urgency. On Tuesday, Sweetshop Revolution appear with an extract from Dulce and Decorum, presenting 3 wartime samaritans. Expect the "funny side of sad". The next night, it's men's night and Colin Poole will get naked. Take someone along, unprepared and watch them shift uncomfortably in their seat whilst you marvel at your own capacity to watch him without looking at his cock. Or not.

Closing the season on Saturday 17 May is a mixed bill featuring a duet from Londonist favourite, Mark Bruce. Green Apples (pictured) is a duet set to the White Stripes. Bruce knows how to rock the Place. No one translates indie rock bands onto bodies better. This will be exciting, we promise.
