Stuff we like

When Storm-clouds brood on the towering heights….

0803.storm.jpg
And we’re not just talking about the hills of the Chankly Bore. Londoners are being advised to batten down the hatches on Monday morning, when a rather ferocious weather front is predicted to romp across the UK.

The Met Office has gotten all serious on us. After that weather forecast, they have of course been awfully careful, but this seems to be more than the normal, jovial ‘wrap-up-a-bit-warmer’ banter. And even our favourite meteorological website is forecasting lashings of wind and rain.

As usual, London will be getting second hand weather: the storms will have lost at least some of their ire and fire by the time they hit the capital. And most of us are still not in a lot of danger of flooding. But we still think that it gives us enough of an excuse to have a duvet day and stay at home blogging….

Keep us posted. If it hits a Force 10 on Muswell Hill, or you get flooded in Farringdon, drop us a line below, or better still send us a photo. But there again, it’ll probably just turn out to be a load of old Lear.
