Let there be Lindt

Londonist likes chocolate. And children. (Especially other people's). And good charitable causes.

So we were more than happy to hop on the London Eye last night to see the premier of Lindt's Easter Light Show, in aid of ChildLine. And to take part in the demolishing of a couple of gold Lindt bunnies. (Hey, we didn’t say anything about liking bunnies...)

Renowned Swiss light artist, Gerry Hofstetter (you might remember he projected a polar bear onto an iceberg) has created a light show just for Lindt and Childline, celebrating Easter and raising awareness of the good cause.

The show is being projected onto the Shell Building each evening this week and next, until Easter Monday.

You can see the pretty swirly lights, and the meaningful children's story (give your friends a Lindt bunny – show them you care!) from Waterloo Bridge, Southbank and the Northbank. Of course, the best views are from onboard the London Eye.

This Londonista made her maiden voyage last night, and loved it. If you're in the area around the Easter weekend, pop along, and enjoy that warm, just-helped-a-worthy-cause glow. There'll be free Lindt bunnies for anyone who makes a donation, cute Easter displays and apparently, stilt-walking master chocolatiers too.

Chocolate and charity - we think it's a winning combo.

Lindt Light Show is on every evening from 11-24 March, 6.30-8.30pm. You can see the show from Waterloo Bridge, Southbank, and the Northbank.
