Yelle Plays London

Here at Londonist we love random foreign pop. Normally it's Scandanavian but French music also has a big place in our hearts.

So we're excited to see that this week shouty French popstar Yelle is in town. She's supporting Mika tonight (Tuesday) but screw that - later on this evening she's playing her own gig at Great Eastern Street's Old Blue Last.

Now we must warn you but a gig at the Old Blue Last with a rather blogtasticly hyped authentically French, nicer version of Uffie, is probably not going to bring out the best people London has to offer. That's why we must all go, with our non regulation slanty fringes and big flares jeans to make it all seem a little normal.

She's on stage at 11pm and tickets cost £6.50 - buy them here and check out the cute video for her 2007 single A Cause Des Garcons above. See you there!
