Weekend Round-Up

- LU has become very censorious of late. What’s to offend about a photo of a fat, pink-boxer-shorted Christ on the cross?
- A couple of shoppers were so worried about being caught for card fraud that they ran out of a Bromley store leaving their baby behind.
- High jinx in High Wycombe. Actually a bit more serious than that as it involves a school arson attack.
- The first biofuel trial flight has taken place from Heathrow to Amsterdam. Of which more undoubtedly later.
- And in the weekend knife-crime round-up, police are appealing for witnesses to a doorstep stabbing in Eltham, whilst a teenager is in hospital after a stabbing outside a central London club.
- There seems to be some sort of football match on this afternoon: the police were getting all stressy about it.
And this is what we think we will have learned by this time next week:
- That the Brits rock.
- That after threats to move Eastenders from Elstree to Pinewood, or even to Wales, a decision is made to outsource it to India.
- Hmm. So why not move Ramsay Street into the empty Elstree studios? We are reputedly its biggest audience, and the stars all seem to end up over here anyway. Just a thought.
Have a sublime week.
Slightly alarming but jolly impressive photo from Joerg Moellenkamp’s flickr stream.
