Philadelphia experimental indie stars Enon play the Luminaire on Monday night, with around 17 tickets left (at time of writing) on We Got Tickets. Support comes in the shape of Ill Ease, which features "Elizabeth Sharp playing guitar, bass, drums, tambourine, shaker, car horn and anything else that rattles, buzzes, shakes or hums in a riff-o-matic racket" apparently. Should be good. Meanwhile over at 93 Feet East, Seattle singer-songwriter David Bazan plays his folk-rock. Tickets are £10 from We Got Tickets.
Art Brut play the first of two shows at ULU on Tuesday, the first with strings, Wednesday's with brass. Suprisingly, tickets are still available for both dates from See Tickets, priced at £11 each. Austin folk-rockers Okkervil River play Scala, though tickets are all sold out it seems. The Hours (remember them? the Britpop wannabes that NME trumpeted for about a week before slating them the next week?) play Bush Hall, tickets are £10 from See Tickets.
Wednesday sees Hard-Fi kick off the NME awards show series around London by playing Koko, though has very few tickets left (at time of writing) from See Tickets. 30 Seconds to Mars play their emo rock at Hammersmith Apollo for the first of two nights at the venue, which again is sold out. Thrash metal stars Municipal Waste play the Islington Academy, tickets are £10 from Scum Tickets. If you want something a bit softer then Scott Matthew, bought to fame thanks to the film Shortbus, plays Bush Hall - tickets are £10 from Ticketweb.
Welsh stars Bullet For My Valentine play Carling Academy Brixton on Thursday for a sold out show, Pigeon Detectives play a sold-out NME Awards show at the Astoria. "Acoustic upbeat post folk singer" Johnny Flynn plays the Luminaire - tickets are £6 from We Got Tickets.
To round out the week, Brixton Academy plays host to the Kerrang! Tour 2008 on Friday, with Coheed and Cambria and Circa Survive amongst others - tickets are £15 each from See Tickets. 90's Britpop stars Kula Shaker play Shepherds Bush Empire as part of their 2008 reformation / money-grabbing attempt. Tickets are £17.50 from See Tickets. Finally, Dallas pop/rockers The Rocket Summer play the Camden Barfly, though tickets are all gone it seems.
We always recommend ethical gig trading site Scarlet Mist as your first port of call for tickets particularly when they're sold out, so check them out and beat the touts. Failing that Gumtree is always a friend.
