Here at Londonist we love to indulge in all sorts of devilishly scrumptious treats. However, we know healthy, conscientious eating is the key to a happy life.

Is it just us or has everyone in London been ill this winter? Plenty of us Londonistas have. Sore throats, coughs, sniffles: you name the condition, we’ve suffered from it. If only we’d known sooner about Innocent Drinks' new lemon, honey and ginger concoction. This “smoothie for winter” is certainly a tasty treat with each litre carton consisting of “13½ pressed apples, 3 mashed bananas, 2 freshly squeezed lemons, ½ a freshly squeezed orange, a spoonful of honey and some lovely ginger.” Take that winter!

Always worth mentioning the some of the money from the smoothies goes to Help the Aged. They stop old people getting to cold and many other good things.

tikichris

Absolutely! Gosh, even more nice reasons to drink a zingy smoothie - love it.

Siany

yes, but oops, taking a proper peek at the pic (how cute are little bobble hats?), it's Age Concern not Help the Aged. I likes both charities though.

tikichris

Little bobble hats are ridiculously cute.

I drink gallons of the Lemon, Ginger and Honey winter special, me. I'm a recent convert to smoothies and it hits the spot every time.

tikichris

Yeah, they're pretty wonderful. I'd drink more of the stuff but my regular grocer doesn't seem to stock it. I'll have to make a special trip this week to stock up!

I know of a very good shop in Peckham that sells them....
