Not only does the fantastic French dance music and fashion label Kitsuné have a foxy new compilation hitting the shops next week, but they're crossing the channel just to celebrate its release with you. From 8 p.m. this evening, Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen will play host to a record release party for the aptly-named "Kitsuné Maison Compilation 4". With exclusive tracks from Dragonette, Feist and Hadouken, this disc's dirty disco will certainly soundtrack our summer.
The £7 entry treats you to a well-balanced bill of 3 DJs and 3 live acts from the label's roster. We're most looking forward to a live set from Londonist electro-pop favourites Dragonette as well as the DJ stylings of half-London, half-Stockholm indie-dance act Punks Jump Up. From Hot Chip's debut in 2004 to last month's new album from Digitalism, Kitsuné's quality output has strengthened Anglo-Gallic relations through the common language of electro far more than our A-level French ever could hope to. Since Thursday really should be considered part of the weekend anyway, go on and get down a bit early tonight!
