Track The Plaque

London is full of weird and wonderful signs, notices, memorials and plaques. Looking through our photo archive, we seem to have amassed a bountiful stock of such things. So we thought we'd start a new weekend competition. All you have to do is tell us where the mystery plaque is located.

To kick off, here's a regal conundrum. Edward VIII was famous for his love life, but where in London might you find this label, and help the king come out of the closet?

I'm guessing it is in the Victoria and Albert Museum. I am probably very wrong but I seem to remember there were draws to pull and doors to open in the V&A. Plus, I'm taking closet as a hint?

M@

Well, you're along the right lines, but it's not the V&A.

Is there a prize? There should be a prize...

Paul

I also remember the drawers but can't quite remember where. I think it has to be the Imperial War Museum.

M@

Nope, not the Imperial War Museum.

Mike

Is it the sign found hanging on Mary of Teck's womb?

Dioktos

I believe I've seen it at the National Maritime Museum.

Cris

is it in the Tower of London? Natural History Museum?

M@

Dioktos has it! Yes, it's in the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich. There's a room full of cabinets each one containing a model of somebody nautical. Edward VIII was head of the navy.
