If you're not Hot Chip-ing at the Luminaire tonight (sold out) or Pipette-ing at Barfly (sold out), but still wanting to go a bloody good gig, then we're more than a little excited because we've just discovered that The Lightning Seeds are playing in Camden this evening.

Dismiss any thoughts of them being a bit twee, or a bit silly, and instead just remember the absolutely awesome indie-pop tunes Ian Broudie has been behind. From the summmery elegance of 'Perfect', the dancefloor stomping 'Life of Riley', or the unparalled football anthem 'Three Lions', there is no doubt that tonight's gig will be filled with songs you may have forgotten about but will be singing along to within moments. Couple that with the knowledge that Broudie has produced albums by The Zutons, The Subways and The Coral to name but a few, and you'll soon be wondering why this man is such an unsung pop hero.

The gig is at Dingwalls tonight from 7.30 with tickets still on sale at ticketweb. The perfect soundtrack to a hazy summer evening, we'll see you down the front for a dance.
