If you're in London for the Bank Holiday weekend but would have quite liked to have gone abroad, then head to South Bank where you can pretend you're in Morocco from Friday until Monday. To celebrate the UK debut of Taoub, a new circus and acrobatics act from Tangier street theatre group Collectif Acrobatique de Tangier, the South Bank will be taken over by fabric tents offering everything Morroccan with free live performances, food, drink and Moroccan goods to browse and buy. Entry is free and the market is open from 10.00am, Friday 14th to Monday 17th.

If a souk is not your thing, then there is swing on Monday. The Queen Elizabeth Hall foyer will be host to Swing! Swing! Swing!, a day long celebration of everything swing: the London Swing Dance Society will be in attendance offering free workshops and demonstrations for anyone who wants to give this dance form a try. The ten-piece Sugar Ray Ford Orchestra will be providing the music. Admission is free and participation is not necessary - just turn up, watch and enjoy. Workshops last between 45 minutes and an hour each, with the first one (for 8-14 year olds) at 12.00pm.
