Did We Mention We're Having A Party This Week?

Just one more plug for our first birthday party, which is happening this Thursday at the Offside Bar on City Road, Islington.

You should have this engrained into your memory by now, but just in case you haven't: the festivities kick off at 8pm until late, and it's free to get in (just let them know you're there for the Londonist party).

We'll have DJs all night as well as images from the London Photobloggers community on the big screens (and maybe some of our favourite London-based films as well).

The big draw of course is our birthday raffle. If you email us at [email protected] before Thursday night with the words 'Londonist Raffle' in the subject field (click here to save yourself the effort of typing all that out) then your name will automatically be entered into the draw and you'll be in with a chance of winning the following

An iPod shuffle.
  • A signed copy of Adrian Maddox's book Classic Cafes PLUS an exclusive signed print from Adrian too.
  • A year's subscription to our favourite magazine: Smoke.
  • A signed copy of Mecca Ibrahim's excellent tube book One stop short of Barking
  • A copy of the fascinating Cross River Traffic by Chris Roberts.
  • 5 pairs of vouchers for free entry to the Prince Charles Cinema.
  • And, finally, time to get all nostalgic with a copy of The Bus We Loved: London's Affair with the Routemaster by Travis Elborough.
  • A free month's membership to Snog London.
  • You will have to turn up on the night to be in with a chance of walking away with the prizes though. We'll probably do the draw around 10ish so make sure you're not in the toilet when we start pulling out the names.

Although - if you don't win our raffle then we should mention that the delightful Mecca Ibrahim will be on hand to give you a second chance in the form of the Get Kids Going draw. Unlike our raffle GKG's is actually for a good cause (a national charity that help disabled kids and young adults get into wheelchair sport by providing them with the necessary sports wheelchairs) and their prizes are a bit better: first prize is a pair of Club tickets on a British Airways flight to the States for example.

Mecca will be dishing these out at the bargain price of £1 a ticket so keep your eye out for her on the night.

Any questions etc please do email us, otherwise we'll see you on Thursday night.
