It is a truth universally acknowledged that London loves tourists and tourists love London - despite the lamentations of some patrons of our city. A new exhibition at the Hayward Gallery is due to open on Thursday 6th October, and not only are you invited to view it but also contribute and become part of it yourself.

Universal Experience: Art, Life and the Tourist's Eye brings together 50 international artists who will display their work in the Hayward Gallery and across the South Bank site from 6th October to 11th December, exploring how tourism is changing the way we see the world and how the world is changing to fit tourism.

As part of the exhibition, Chocolate Films invites you to submit holiday photos, video and / or film to their Universal Tourist film project. Bring your best or worst holiday memories in photo or film format to the Hayward Gallery at any point during the Universal Experience exhibition and the team will make a copy and add it to the material for their experimental digital film. This film promises to be part documentary, part artwork, part reality show and will be screened at the National Film Theatre once completed.

Universal Experience: Art, Life and the Tourist's Eye will be at the Hayward Gallery from 6th October to 11th December. For more information on the Universal Tourist film project and for a submission form, please go to the Universal Tourist website here.
