Today sees the launch of a competition to design a 'mobile memorial' for hanged writer, Ken Saro-Wiwa.

Ken Livingstone, Anita 'Bodyshop' Roddick, and Saro-Wiwa's son Ken Wiwa will present the competition to the public today and ask for ideas ahead of the 10th anniversary of the writer's death.

Ken Lingingstone is quoted as saying:

"Ken Saro-Wiwa was a truly inspirational man. This memorial should be displayed at all of London's key landmarks, making it accessible to everyone, and ensuring that Ken Saro-Wiwa's memory lives on for decades to come."

All the ideas submitted will be wittled down to a shortlist of five, with a winner to be announced on 10 November (the day of the anniversary).
