Part of our Best Pubs in London microsite. Is your local listed?
This thrusting corner free-house is as pleasant a local as you're likely to find. Six cask ale pumps offer a beer-lover's welcome at the bar, with more on keg. 10 reds and 10 whites should see wine fanciers happy. The front bar area is a cosy place to curl up with one of the gratis newspapers, or consider the dining area for food. The beer garden is also small but perfectly formed, with a becushioned covered area for wetter days. We didn't try the food, but we've heard good things about the wood-fired pizza oven. The first-floor dining room is available for hire.
