Like the long-gone consort of same name, The Albert is respectability and charm personified. The olive exterior and tasteful main bar are just the half of it. Round the back, you’ll find a sizeable conservatory space and the finest beer garden in the area. Like any pub in these quarters, there’s a good chance of spotting a minor or major celebrity.
Formerly a Greene King pub, the Albert is now independently owned and offers up much more quality and variety than previously (though we had to chuckle at the emphasis on 'locally sourced food' given that London Zoo is just across the road).
With a Tuesday quiz and regular live music nights, the Albert is even better than you remember it.
