This pub was voted one of the best in Bow and Mile End by Londonist readers.
Tred-er-gar? Tred-ee-gar? The latter, apparently, but let's just call him Lord Tred. The peer in question was a Welsh politician, part of the Morgan family who are commemorated in the Morgan Arms round the corner. His namesake pub is a good box-ticker, with a welcoming array of beers, a well-decorated bar including a huge map of the world, a rear dining area and a jukebox. We didn't try the food, but one of our readers claims to have eaten "the best fish and chips ever" here.
Quiz night is Tuesday.
