This pub was voted one of the best in Chelsea by Londonist readers.
It was a surprise to see the Jam Tree so high in the voting list as we've always considered it more of a Fulham location. Wherever it lies, this is a fine pub/bar, and certainly more fun than a lot of places round here. The nondescript exterior belies the gorgeous decor inside, with more copper fittings than Scotland Yard's wardrobe department. It's well geared up for dining, with a 'British and Colonial-inspired' menu. Drinkers are best directed to the cocktail menu, which includes a smashing range of house specials, plenty of classics and a Bloody Mary list longer than most bar's full cocktail range. Wines and spirits are also in the ascendent, but there's a relatively limited choice for those in search of good beer. A large and pleasant garden looks like an excellent choice in the summer for the al fresco cocktail drinker, especially as it has its own bar and BBQ.
If you like this, Jam Tree has a sister venue in Clapham Old Town.
