With a long and honoured history in London, the St James's Park pelicans were first introduced in 1664. Today, visitors can head to the Royal Park and see the current three residents — Louis, Vaclav and Gargi — preening, fishing and generally waddling around.
We tracked them down to find out the best place and time to catch them for yourselves.
St James's Park is open from 5am until midnight all year round and is highly accessible by public transport. To find out more about how to get to the park, see here.
