Fancy watching the north-west suburbs of London roll by, as you're pulled along by a 1950s Met line train?

On 7-8 September, London Transport Museum runs Vintage Suburbia on the Met Line — a series of heritage train services departing Wembley Park, Amersham and Harrow-on-the-Hill.

You get to sit in 1950s ex-British Rail 4TC coaches, hauled by the Sarah Siddons electric locomotive and a Class 20 locomotive. At Amersham station, you'll be greeted by actors in 1950s costume.

Tickets for the event are somewhat thriftier than some of the LTM's other recent steam train rides. Prices start at £10 (£5 for children). They're on sale now.
