Diamonds are a tube's best friend...

That's the idea at the heart of artist Sara Shakeel's work. She's created two stunning collages combining the tube with a sparkly sheen. See above and below for the blingy results. Unfortunately these are just collages — Shakeel hasn't got her Damien Hirst on with a tube carriage (but wouldn't that be so-bloody-incredible).

Shakeel has also added her sparkles to plenty of other subway systems from across the world, but it's not just metro systems that she makes shiny. See the Houses of Parliament below. That's one ambitious way to tackle the upcoming refurbishment.
