27 lions are currently roaming central London, but don't start legging it just yet — they haven't escaped from the zoo.
Tusk Lion Trail is a sculpture installation highlighting the importance of the conservation of African lions — their population is estimated to have declined by as much as 50% over the last 25 years.
As part of the initiative, a host of artists, musicians and comedians have decorated their own lion sculptures, which have now been scattered across the city.
So, you'll find Noel Fielding's psychedelic king of the beasts parading around Piccadilly Circus, Lee Mack's cheeky Three Shirts on a Lion sculpture at Bank, and Sally Wood and Jess Power's Lion King inspired lion in Carnaby.

The life-sized lions are in London till the end of September. And if you happen to be in Bristol or Edinburgh anytime soon, you'll find even more of them. It really is a jungle out there.
