Ho-ho-hope you're up for a challenge! On Sunday 9 December, thousands of red-robed and white-bearded Father Christmases gather on Clapham Common for London Santa Dash 2018 — and you can be one of them.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH) invite Londoners of all ages to don a Santa suit and run, jog, walk, or wheel their way around the 5k or 10k route in aid of the seriously ill children cared for at GOSH.

The festive fun run, which is sponsored by Galliard Homes, hopes to raise a whopping £300,000 for GOSH's groundbreaking research, equipment, rebuilding and refurbishment work, and support services. With 3000 sprinting St Nick's expected to attend, that means participants should each aim to raise at least £100 in sponsorship. Which is totally doable, considering that it's the season of giving and all that.

The Christmassy cheer doesn't stop when you cross the finish line. After you're rewarded with a shiny new medal from Santa's sack, you'll be handed a mulled drink and enjoy hours of entertainment in the post-race village. There's a DJ, a samba band, and plenty more yule-tide merriment.

So go on, get your family, a group of mates, or your colleagues together and and prepare to sleigh those five or ten kilometres.
