Booze, big sticks and brightly-coloured balls — what could possibly go wrong?

Following last year's Peckham launch, Plonk has opened another Polynesian-themed putting paradise in Shoreditch. And at this one, you can bring your own drinks.

Crazy golf, once a (somewhat naff) way to keep the kids entertained on a trip to the seaside, has exploded in popularity over the last few years across London. It's no surprise, really: take a quaint and/or nostalgia-inducing pastime, give it an Instagram-friendly makeover, add alcohol into the mix, and you've got a surefire hit on your hands. How else do you think so many hip, young urbanites are now adept at shuffleboard, bingo, and even boules?

Snark aside, Plonk is actually a lot of fun. With hidden holes and intricate mazes, tropical-themed courses are deceptively difficult to master (even more so once you've got a couple of cold ones in you), and test your mental agility as well as your physical prowess.

If you reckon you've got what it takes to complete all nine holes, head to Plonk on Shoreditch High Street via your favourite off-licence and get ready to find your inner Tiger Woods. Tickets cost £15, and players can enjoy canned or bottled drinks each per round (no glass).
