Feeling adventurous? Are you a sucker for a great cityscape? Make it your mission to visit Up at The O2 this summer.

For those not in the know, Up at The O2 is an epic climb up the roof of a certain world famous music venue (the clue's in the name). At 52-metres high, this climb might not be for the faint-of-heart, but the incredible views of the capital that it offers are well worth any last-minute jitters.

See what we mean? And, don't worry, you'll be safely strapped in. On arrival, you're kitted out with a climbing suit, boots, and harness before starting your 90 minute ascent up the south face of the O2. Along the way, your expert guide will share all sorts of trivia about the architecture of the arena.

Did you know, for example, that the whole thing pays homage to Greenwich Meantime? Its 365 metre circumference, 12 masts and walkway reaching 52 metres, represent the number of days, months, and weeks in a year.

Whether you're after a family day out with a difference, or a date night that'll seriously impress your other half, Up at The O2 has a range of climbs that'll cater to your plans. Take the kids on a Daytime Climb during the school holidays, or wait till sunset to clamber to the summit, where you can woo your partner with a glass of bubbly.

While Up at The O2 is open all year round, this summer it's hosting a pretty special series of events. Fitness fanatics looking to shake up their routine can top off their 90 minute experience with a 50 minute HIIT session on the rooftop.

If you're looking for something slightly more zen, you can opt for the Climb and Yoga Experience instead, and take in the urban panorama as you practice your sun salutations. Both classes are run by The Hour Wellbeing and take place every Saturday from 27 July to 24 August.

More of a history buff? You won't want to miss the Museum of London Climb on Thursday 18 July and Wednesday 14 August, where a trained host from the museum will be waiting at the top to lead a fascinating talk on London's docklands.

So go on, join the 550,000+ people who have climbed up this iconic London landmark and — in doing so —discovered a totally new way to see London.

Tickets for Up at The O2 start at £30 and can be bought here. The attraction is open seven days a week and you must be aged nine or over to climb.
