An immersive Disney experience lands in London this May, promising an "immersive, multisensory adventure" through a series of Disney worlds.

October 2023 marks 100 years since the founding of a certain Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio — which means if you're not a devotee of Mickey et al, you'll want to stick your head in the sand like a cartoon ostrich, as a cavalcade of special events spread their schmaltzy cheer across the globe.

In London, a pop-up experience — Wonder of Friendship — is in town from 12-21 May 2023. It will involve four themed rooms, namely: the Alice in Wonderland Garden of Mystery; the Lilo & Stitch Ohana Bay; the Lion King Orchestral Oasis; and the Mickey and Friends Wonderverse. Each room in a selfie-heaven, with famous catchphrases in neon lettering, swings, mirrors and the like. Visitors can also interact with AR characters via Snapchat.

Interestingly for a Disney experience, the pop-up is recommended for people 18+, although younger folks can attend daytime slots accompanied by an adult.

Tickets are a not-insignificant £18.50, although that hasn't deterred Disney lovers by the looks of things — many slots have already sold out. So if you want to grab your place, better make like the Road Runner. (Oh hang on, that's Looney Tunes.)
