Why London Design Week 2019 Is An Interior Design Lover's Dream

This is a sponsored article on behalf of London Design Week 2019.

With the days getting longer, it's almost time for a spot of spring cleaning. So why not go one better this year and upgrade your home with a fresh new look? Whether you're planning a full-on revamp or just want to jazz up a single corner (may we humbly suggest a Londonist reading nook?), even the most prolific of Pinterest users could do with a bit of inspiration...

Cue London Design Week 2019. Starting Sunday 10 March, you've got six days to discover the brightest and best interior design talent at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. That's six illuminating days of meet-the-designer-sessions, artisan-led demos, and the chance to pick experts' brains during an array of Q&As and panel discussions.

With 600 brands featured across a whopping 120 showrooms there's certainly no shortage of pretty things to gawk at, either. From Abbott & Boyd to Zimmer + Rohde, you're sure to find yourself coveting more than a few of the sumptuous home furnishings on display.

How good, for instance, would a classic Julian Chichester bed look in your room? A quirky table lamp from Porta Romana would certainly brighten up the space, as would an intricate Lincrusta wallcovering. And if you're really looking to transform a room, why not treat yourself to a brand new tiled floor from Artisans of Devizes?

Thanks to the return of 'Legends' at London Design Week 2019, you can even indulge in a bit of celeb-spotting. A roster of renowned designers have incorporated their own heroes and heroines from the worlds of fashion, photography, and film into their window dressings. Look out for likenesses of Marilyn Monroe, Michael Caine, and Twiggy as you admire cutting-edge furniture and fabric patterns.

With so much to look out for, you're bound to work up a bit of an appetite during your visit. Luckily, an array of pop up restaurants and cafes have been specially commissioned for the event. If you're after something really special, you can book a table at the FT How To Spend It Restaurant, which is dressed up in showroom favourites and boasts a bespoke brasserie menu by Absolute Taste.

And you know what's even better than free entry? Free entry that also gives you the chance to win some fantastic prizes. Pre-register online and you'll be automatically entered in London Design Week 2019's prize draw*, where you could get your hands on...
