Free Virtual Reality Experience Featuring David Attenborough To Open In London

Flying dinosaurs, hummingbirds, and broadcasting legend David Attenborough all feature in an immersive reality experience coming to London for one week.

At Conquest of the Skies, you can don a special VR headset to be transported to canopies in the clouds and get up close to flying dinosaurs, hummingbirds and butterflies — accompanied by Attenborough's incomparable narration.

And there's an augmented reality aspect, too. Scan a QR code with your phone to open special filters showing the speed and scale of the creatures, and learn about the evolution of flight.

The experience ties in with a new virtual reality documentary, Conquest of the Skies VR, which is also narrated by Attenborough and will be available on Meta Quest TV. It's a more high-tech follow-up to the 2015 series of Conquest of the Skies, and visitors can enjoy an immersive projection of a special cut of the documentary as part of this event.

Conquest of the Skies is in The Atrium at Westfield London (White City), 29 November-4 December 2022  (11am-7pm). It's free, no booking required.
