This all-star London neighbourhood was made for al fresco exhibits, waterside cocktail hours and sunset strolls. But don’t worry, it’s got autumn all wrapped up too.
If you haven’t yet cottoned on to the cultural upstart that is Canada Water, you’re missing out. Missing out on 53 acres of waterside walks, brand-spanking new restaurants, world-class leisure facilities and a packed calendar of events, to be precise.
We’ll be frank – you need more than one visit to see it all. So, with the final days of summer on the horizon, we’ve brought together Canada Water’s seasonal must-sees into one neat package. Let’s go dockside…

Summer’s not over ’til it’s over – and it’s far from over in Canada Water. Trumpet Flowers is a huge musical installation powered by passers-by. Part-gramophone, part-flower field, walk through this auditory garden to spark each luminous bloom into life and listen to specially-composed jazz recordings. Teamed with ever-changing coloured lights, it’s magical at golden hour. Available until 22 September.
A line-up of talented buskers takes to the streets throughout summer weekends. However, it’s all about jazz at Corner Corner. This hub is the cultural heart of Canada Water, home to a Saturday series of free jazz performances plus live DJ sessions spanning disco, funk and soul. Whatever the genre, it’s bound to be the perfect backdrop to your slushie cocktails and Taiwanese bao buns from KERB food hall.

Yes, that’s right, KERB. Street food purveyors extraordinaire. At Canada Water, they’ve curated the food hall at Corner Corner. Swing by Thursday to Sunday for all-day treats and late-night cocktails from a line-up of indie favourites including Chick’n’Sours and Masa Tacos. Impressively, many of the ingredients in their dishes have been grown on-site in London’s largest indoor vertical farm. What’s a vertical farm, you ask? Book a tour and explore for yourself.
Weekday evenings are also in on the tasty action. Sundowner Hour at Corner Corner means £12.50 mojito jugs, 2-4-1 beers and £7 negronis. Available from 3pm-8pm every weekday, it’s one heck of a generous ‘hour’ and we love them for it. Also at Corner Corner is Sireli, the all-day cafe big on Middle Eastern small plates. Towards Greenland Dock, Pacific Tavern deals in chilled pub vibes, craft beers and Pacific-inspired grub cooked over open fire.
Back into the sunshine and next to the shopping centre you’ll find the Canada Water Screen. Throughout September, this is your go-to for live screenings of the Women’s Rugby World Cup. More of a doer than a watcher? Just 300 yards from Canada Water station you’ll find the neighbourhood’s four brand new padel courts. That’s in addition to the watersports at Greenland Dock, The Arch climbing wall and Canada Water Leisure Centre – freshly opened on 1 September.

Weather not playing ball? Swerve the rain at two fantastic exhibitions, both right on Canada Water’s doorstep. The Legend of the Titanic at Dock X is London’s largest ever Titanic exhibit and a full-on sensory adventure. 360-degree projections, virtual reality and bonafide artefacts combine to tell the story of the Titanic’s fateful journey. Meanwhile, Minecraft Experience at Corner Corner is full of immersive fun for young (and old!) gamers keen to spring rescue missions from the screen into real life.
Sounds great but where exactly is Canada Water? Located in Zone 2 on the Jubilee line, it’s a mere two stops from London Bridge or four stops from Waterloo. For all you east and south London dwellers, it’s also on the London Overground Windrush line. See you there soon!
