Been to Amazement Park®? London's getting its own version! Image: Wake The Tiger

Travel through a portal into a sprawling, zany cityscape which operates on completely different rules.

Europe’s largest immersive art experience, Absurd City, opens its doors here in London in October 2026, the newest creation from the team at Wake The Tiger. That's the company behind immersive theatre and music festival Boomtown Fair, and whose award-winning Bristol attraction Amazement Park® has drawn in more than half a million visitors since 2022.

Amazement Park® centres around the parallel world of Meridia, and now Meridia is extending to this new permanent home in London, creating a parallel world where logic breaks down, and reality refuses to behave.

What's more, Absurd City is bigger both in scale and creative ambition than the Bristol original.

Absurd City consists of four distinct districts, housed under a protective dome, with stories unfolding around you, secret passageways to find — and plenty of unexpected discoveries along the way.

The self-guided, immersive and interactive walkthrough experience is suitable for all ages, with visitors known as 'Daytrippers'. We won't reveal any more surprises, but tickets are available now, and you can be among the first to explore this wacky new metropolis.

Says Luke Mitchell, Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder of Wake The Tiger:

There is no blueprint for Absurd City. It's been a beautifully chaotic process driven by some of the UK's finest underground artists, robotic experts and makers. We’ve built a cosmic, eccentric and deeply human playground that we can't wait for London to explore.

To celebrate the launch, you can get a first glimpse into the new world of Absurd City right now! A free pop-up installation at Westfield Square (behind Wood Lane station) showcases a Meridia-inspired double-decker bus and taxi from Absurd City. It's an interactive photo booth where you can take a snap with the vehicles. But hurry — it's only in situ until 28 July, after which you'll have to wait until October for the full reveal of Meridia's London outpost.
