See West End Stars Performing For Free, Right Next To A Tube Station
West End stars
Emma Hatton of Wicked and Jordan Lee Davies of Bat out of Hell.

Craving a West End musical? They're all still corona-curtailed, but you CAN catch a free outdoor performance most days, if you know where to go.

That place is The Garden at Centre Point, a new outdoor space right next to Tottenham Court Road tube station. Here it is:

The Garden at Centre Point

It's playing host to free outdoor live performances every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 2pm to 7pm. You don't need to prebook. Just turn up and see what's going on.

The headline act performs each day at 6pm. "Performers [include] Emma Hatton, Laura Pick, Oliver Tompsett, Jordan Lee Davies, Luke Friend, Caroline Kay, Gabriel Mokake and Kayleigh McKnight from hit shows such as Wicked, Come From Away, & Juliet and Les Misérables."

The exact line-up remains a mystery until the day itself, when the programme will be announced via the @centrepointldn and @dualitymusic_uk Instagram accounts.

Many of the performers will be up before an audience for the first time since March. It's a great way to support these talented singers, actors and musicians while the theatres remain closed. (The performers are getting paid by property developer Almacantar — who in turn want a boost in footfall — so the audience doesn't need to buy tickets.)
