One of the biggest stage musicals ever produced has at last returned to the West End.

The Prince of Egypt Musical is back at Dominion Theatre with a bang, and we mean that literally — this incredible theatrical spectacle features live pyrotechnics, as well as state-of-the-art projection, stirring sound design, and jaw-dropping illusions.

If you only make one trip to theatreland this summer, it should be to see this. Here are five reasons why.

1. Fun for all the family

Just like the classic DreamWorks Animation film on which it is based, The Prince of Egypt Musical is a spellbinding retelling of the biblical story of Moses that's suitable for all ages. Whether you're a fan of the 1998 movie looking for a nostalgia trip or want to bring the joy and wonder of this epic tale to a new generation, you won't be disappointed.

2. A theatrical spectacle of epic proportions

From live fire effects to performers flying across the stage, The Prince of Egypt Musical is a veritable feast for the senses. It's also one of the biggest musicals to ever be staged in London, with a company of over 60 artists.

Luke Brady stars as Moses — the Ancient Egyptian Prince who embarks on a monumental quest to lead the Israelites to freedom — with Liam Tamne as Prince Ramses, Christine Allando as Tzipporah, and Alexia Khadime as Miriam. Other cast members include Joe Dixon (Seti), Debbie Kurup (Tuya), Clive Rowe* (Jethro), Mercedesz Csampai (Yocheved), Adam Pearce (Hotep), Tanisha Spring** (Nefertari), and Silas Wyatt-Barke (Aaron).

3. Great value tickets

If you see The Prince of Egypt Musical during August, you and your family could save big. That's because it's Kids Week in the West End; a month-long promotion where a child goes free with every full paying adult. What's more, if you've got a bigger brood to entertain, each additional child goes half-price. Details here.

4. Incredible songs you'll be humming for weeks

Expect all of your favourite musical numbers from Stephen Schwartz’s acclaimed score, including the Academy Award®-winning ballad When You Believe, which became a global hit for Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.

Other belters include the 'spine-tingling' (Time Out) Deliver Us and other songs featured on the acclaimed Original Cast Recording, which received a 2021 Grammy® Award nomination for `Best Musical Theatre Album’.

5. Choreography that'll have you on the edge of your seat

The choreography's seriously impressive, too — it's designed by Sean Cheesman, who's previously choreographed for the likes of Prince, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, and Queen Latifah. Expect stunning displays of physicality as groups of dancers transform themselves into racing chariots, or the stretch of the River Nile that carries baby Moses to the Pharoah's palace.
