Secret Cinema's Back... And This Time It's A Drive In

Secret Cinema have always taken the pop-up screening experience next level: immersion, intrigue, carnivals, orchestral manoeuvres, explosions.

So while we might not know exactly what they have planned with their new venture, it's a fair bet they'll be going above and beyond the standard drive-in experience.

Taking over Goodwood Motor Circuit this summer, in partnership with Häagen-Dazs, their season kicks into gear on 5 July with appropriately petrolheady Formula One classic Rush. Later dates take in whodunnit noir Knives Out, Star Wars (don't know *which* Star Wars) and The Incredibles.

Goodwood's a good hour and a half drive from zone 2 — but Secret Cinema are rewarding the schlep with pre-show shows, games and diner-inspired food, all arranged in line with social distancing guidance. There's still some secrecy around their plans, but going on past form, we expect costumes will be strongly encouraged, pre-show hype will be intense, elaborate and immersive — and we wouldn't rule out some intrigue, orchestras, or explosions on the night.

Tickets for The Drive In at Goodwood from Secret Cinema and Häagen-Dazs go on sale on Monday, 22 June at 10am for dates from Sunday, 5 July. Book here. If you're a member of O2 Priority, you can book pre-sale tickets from Saturday, 20 June.
