A hijacked plane is heading towards a packed football stadium. Ignoring orders to the contrary, a fighter pilot shoots the plane down — killing 164 people on board, to save 70,000.

Is he guilty of murdering innocents? Were his actions justified? Can we really sacrifice a small number of lives in order to save many more? You decide, in the Lyric's new staging of international hit Terror.

Tanya Moodie stars as Presiding Judge, Ashley Zhangazha as the pilot, and Forbes Masson as the defence barrister in this modern take on the age-old philosophical dilemma known as 'the trolley problem'.

Taking on the most important role of them all, though, is... you. The audience has the challenge of deciding the fate of the fighter pilot, as they become juror in this courtroom style interactive show.

A worldwide phenomenon, Terror has been performed over 1,200 times across the globe, from Berlin to Venezuela. The stats alone make for interesting reading. Never the same show twice, the audience's decision has been recorded after every performance — and 92% of recorded verdicts have deemed the pilot not guilty.

Finally making its UK premiere, the show arrives at the Lyric Hammersmith this June.
