Miffy — everyone's favourite animated Dutch rabbit with an inert mouth — is coming to Chinatown in the form of a pop-up shop.

Arriving on Shaftesbury Avenue on 29 March (and sticking round till 3 July), the shop will draw in fans young and old of the beloved kids books/TV shows — and encourage them to part with their cash on items such as two-metre-tall (!) Miffy lamps, and "special items never sold in the UK before".

Although the Miffy merch is bound to come at a premium, free events will take place throughout the residency, so this isn't a bad thing to have on your radar if you happen to be in the area with kids during Easter or half term (or if you're a fully-grown Miffy-ite.)

In case you're wondering why a Dutch rabbit is having a pop-up in Chinatown, apparently it's a tie-in with the Year of the Rabbit — although hopefully the organisers also realise they're setting up shop next to Dutch pub, De Hems.

Miffy pop-up, 29 March-3 July, 12pm-10pm daily, 78 Shaftesbury Avenue
