Protests against prime minister Boris Johnson's move to prorogue Parliament are taking place in central London tonight.
People have already been protesting outside Number 10 Downing Street today, and demonstrators are now assembling at Parliament Square and College Green, outside the Houses of Parliament.

Those taking to the streets say they are calling out the government's unprecedented five-week closure of Parliament.
Johnson's move has been called out as unconstitutional and wrong by people and politicians across the political spectrum, including many MPs from Johnson's own party — as well as former Tory prime minister, John Major.
Protests are also set to take place in other major UK cities tonight, including Edinburgh, Manchester, Cambridge and Cardiff.
