If you fail to bag tickets, why not look at this photo instead

Want to see 2017 out with a bang? Don't want to be stuck in your living room with Jools Holland? You'll want to get your mitts on tickets for central London's fireworks extravaganza on 31 December.

The final batch of tickets — priced £10 each — goes on sale at noon, on Friday 1 December. You can buy up to four at a time. If past years are anything to go by, the tickets will disappear fast.

The tickets gain you access to the viewing area by the London Eye from 8pm on New Year's Eve, where you're guaranteed to get great views of the display, with 12,000 fireworks let off at midnight (every penny of every ticket goes towards making the display happen).

It'll also be your chance to hear Big Ben bong for the first time, since it was silenced earlier this year.

Be ready to click on this link at noon on 1 December.
