The U.S Embassy has shared photos from inside its new home at Nine Elms, giving the public a first look inside the building.
Part of the massive redevelopment of Battersea and Nine Elms, the building has reportedly cost £770million to build, having been planned as far back as 2008, with construction work beginning in 2013. The official address of the new embassy is 33 Nine Elms Lane.
The giant spiky glass cube, has split opinions. It's designed with security in mind, including a bombproof exterior and 'moat' partly surrounding it. It's also expected to be carbon-neutral.
The three images released of the interior suggest it'll be just as sleek and swanky on the inside as it is on the outside.
U.S. Ambassador Woody Johnson also announced on Twitter that the building will open to the public on 16 January 2018 — does this mean London can expect a Trump visit around this time? Johnson recently hinted that the new embassy will need to dedicated by an American president.

As for the current U.S. Embassy in Grosvenor Square, that's being redeveloped into a 137 bedroom, 5-star hotel, at a reported cost of £1bn.
