A quick rundown of the latest news on what's changing for the city from 4 July.
What's opening?
A lot of the hospitality sector will be allowed to reopen from 4 July — though with restrictions on how they can deliver their services, including a 'one metre plus' rule on social distancing, and with only table service indoors. That'll include pubs, restaurants and bars.
Other entertainment venues which can also reopen from 4 July include theatres and concert venues (but live performances won't yet be allowed), community centres, bingo halls and cinemas.
Hairdressers and barbers will be able to reopen if the premises are fitted with protective screens.
Museums, galleries, libraries, safari parks and aquariums are among other businesses which will be able to reopen on 4 July.
Places of worship will be able to reopen, subject to it being possible to maintain social distancing.
And what isn't opening: there's no fixed date yet for most indoor sports and fitness facilities to reopen — including gyms, swimming pools, bowling alleys, ice skating venues and dance studios. Nail bars, spas, tattoo parlours and massage treatments will still be off-limits, likewise kids' soft play areas, casinos and nightclubs.

Two households can meet indoors from 4 July:
- Regardless of the size of the households — which is a further relaxing on the previous 'bubble' rule allowing households of a single person to meet with one other households
- Staying overnight will be allowed
- But social distancing will need to be maintained between the different households
- And this would be limited to a maximum of two households at a time, though unlike with the 'bubble' rule, you don't have to commit to just one household — so it would be possible for your household to meet up with one other household of family/friends on Monday, and then meet up with a different household on Tuesday, but not for all three households to meet together.
Outdoor meet-ups can still be of multiple households in groups of up to six people, maintaining social distancing between households.
Travel: what's the deal
Being allowed to stay overnight is the big gamechanger here, and holiday accommodation can reopen from 4 July — including hotels, B+Bs, caravan parks and camping sites. Hostels are excluded from that due to the shared sleeping provisions — there's no fixed date/guidance for their reopening yet.
