Seen the giant Moon at the Natural History Museum yet? There's a good opportunity to do so at the museum's monthly Lates event on 25 October, which is themed around Doctor Who.

The TARDIS makes a special appearance at the evening event, 'materialising' beneath Luke Jerram's colossal Moon sculpture, with visitors invited to take a selfie with the famous flying phone box.

Elsewhere in the museum, you can discover the secrets of the long-running show. Meet the Doctor Who special effects team Millennium FX, chat to scientists, and discover the science fact behind the science fiction on the show. You can also watch a screening of Series 3 episode Smith & Jones.

Classic Doctor Who was always scrupulously accurate with its natural history.

Otherwise, simply take the opportunity to explore the museum without the usual school groups milling around.

Natural History Museum Lates, 25 October 2019, 6-10pm. Free entry, no ticket required.
