M@ The Oddities Of Soho... All On One Map
A map of soho oddities

You might have heard of the "Seven Noses of Soho", but how about the "12 Space Invader mosaics"? A new map from the Soho Neighbourhood Forum points out around 700 curiosities, from architectural highlights to permanent street art.

The site is built around a colourful map, which files its 'things to see' under nine categories:

  • Building features
  • Commemorative
  • Street furniture
  • Facade features
  • Public art
  • Businesses
  • Signs
  • Surfaces (e.g. cobbles, tiled floors, etc.)
  • Public toilets

And each of these has subdivisions, allowing you to filter to even deeper levels of niche. Want a map of historic Soho bollards, or ghost signs? Easy peasy.

The 12 space invaders, incidentally, are tiled installations by street artist Invader. They've popped up all over town in large number over the years, but we hadn't realised that Soho was home to a dozen.
